Why celebrate St. Patrick’s Day chugging green food coloring when you could be imbibing on Irish Whiskey and ginger beer! The Irish Mule will be putting you in the spirit no matter what time of year it is. A refreshing blend of mint leaves, whiskey and ginger beer; the Irish Mule is easy to make and sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Add 7 fresh mint leaves and a dash of cane sugar to your mule mug and muddle the leaves to release the mint oil.
Your fresh lime juice and Irish Whiskey to the mint mixture and let it set for about 5 minutes.
Slowly stir-in your ginger beer so that the carbonation isn't lost.
Your mule mug with ice cubes and garnish your masterpiece with a sprig or two of mint leaves.
TIP: If you're not a fan of picking mint out of your teeth, try muddling the mint in a separate container like a shaker. Add your lime juice and Whiskey to the shaker and strain the mixture into your mule mug before adding the ginger beer.
