The Amerigo Vespucci is a tall ship of the Italian Navy, launched in 1931. It serves as a training vessel for naval cadets, renowned for its classical design and three-masted structure. The ship is often called the “most beautiful ship in the world” due to its elegant lines and traditional rigging.

 Ingredients

  • Navy Strength Rum /Dark/Spiced – 25 ml (.85 oz)
  • Blue Curacao – 20 ml (.67 oz)
  • Pomegranate Juice – 25 ml
    (.85 oz)
  • Olive Oil – 5 ml (a small dash)
  • Campari – 10 ml (.34 oz)
  • Soda Water – ~10ml (.34 oz)
  • Garnish: lime slice and a slice of Plum/any fruit or even Olives! 🫒
  • Combine

    In a cocktail shaker, add the Navy Strength Rum, Blue Curacao, Pomegranate Juice, Olive Oil, and Campari.

    2. Shake well to emulsify the olive oil and mix the ingredients thoroughly.
    3. Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice.
    4. Pour soda water on top to fill the glass.

    Garnish with an:
    Olive, Feta Cheese, Cherry on a toothpick mimicking the Italian Flag (or swap out garnish of your choice)

    For all those wondering…
    The Olive Oil adds a slight spice and flavour complexity to the drink aswell as giving it a waterwash/ seaweed appearance and adds to the authenticity of the Italian Themed Cocktail

Pro Tip:

Sorry Bond but Gin cocktails should always be stirred and not shaken! Shaking your Gin over ice causes it to become cloudy and ruins the presentation of your masterpiece.

  • Jigger = 1-1/2 fluid ounces
  • Bar Spoon = 5 ML or 1 Teaspoon
