Lucien Gaudin
Lucien Gaudin was a early 20th century Olympic fencer from France who inspired this Gin based cocktail. A variation of the Negroni, the Lucien Gaudin combines Gin and Campari and takes the citrus notes up a notch with the addition of Cointreau. The wine based Vermouth rounds out the drink and smooths the edges. The combination makes for a fruity cocktail that packs a punch bringing in bitter notes as the Campari goes down.
